lets look at the 'latest' look for....

PINEAPLLE TARTS!!

my mom suddenly looked up on this new look for this tart...

looks like???

the mandarine orange ya.....hahahaha

in hokkien...we call this pastry 'ong lai piah'...

the most important word is the 'ong'

as that means

prosperous (if i'm not mistaken)

and the shape of the mandarine orange...actually representing 'kam'....

meaning

gold(also if im not mistaken)

hahaha...this is the proses of making it

before baking it in the oven...

bake it for a moment....

then have to paint some egg yolk on the surface....

and the results.....

I've always talked about cakes and cookies and pastries....

as they fascinate me with their beauty...

and myriad types of flavours....

and...what makes it much more special...

is THIS cakes and pastries....

are used as symbols for so MANY events....

and the event i love the most....

***BIRTHDAYS***

HAHAHAHA....

we use cakes to sweeten up our day...

and reminding us the day we were brought to this....

wonderful ,yet scary world

filled with much cherishable and suffering past...

this year....

i went out with my friends and had a fiesta a day before my birthday!!

tried 8 different kind of cakes from

SECRET RECIPE

(i'll recommend to you all their chocolate banana cake...very nice)

....on my birthday itself....

my mom baked me the fluffy cheese cake...

(which is also the one she already taught me)

for my 18th birthday...

(FINALLY!!! I'M 18!!!!!!!!)

ahem....hahaha....

and the most special part of this special day is....

my uncle and aunt celebrated my bday this year!!!

(it doesn't happen often though)

there are a few pictures that will be posted later....

me and my cousins....having a whale of time...cracking up jokes...

undenieable....this is my best bday party since I was born...

(not trying to be emotional and all)

(this time with strawberry from Cameron Highlands and dark chocolate)

this might be a dessert we will all...

FALL IN LOVE WITH!!!

biting off the strawberry from the stem...

then slowly chewing it...

THEN........

the splasing of both dark choc...

and strawberry...

which combines harmoniously!!!!!!!!!!

OMG!!!!! i bet you all will love it!!!!!

and a reminder is...try to find sweet strawberries...

the sour ones will make it taste sour....

hahaha

they say that this cupcakes are worth like

that's like.....WOA!!!!!

all those effort is worth every sweat man!!!

I'm waiting to learn how to make a thick icing....

then can make Christmas tree.....

IN 3D!!!!

better stick to the basics first....
